Lugano, Switzerland, Friday June 29th, 2018: trade.io today announced that their flagship product, Exchange, will be launched on July 17th, 2018. The announcement came during CEO Jim Preissler’s keynote speech at a trade.io-sponsored Bloomberg event in London, England.
What is trade.io?
trade.io is a next-generation blockchain-based financial platform, with a strong focus on security and transparency. The company hopes to capitalize on its considerable expertise in such areas as investment banking, trading & FinTech. Trade.io is aiming to marry this knowledge with the power and transparency of blockchain technology to offer a unique exchange that will transform the fields of asset trading and investment banking.
Launch Details Announced
Today was a big day for trade.io as the company heralded the announcement of the launch with not one, but two major events. The first, named “The Future of Cryptocurrencies” was significant for being Bloomberg’s first ever cryptocurrency event and was broadcast live to the thousands of Bloomberg Terminals around the world, with live-streaming on trade.io’s website.
The collaboration aimed to join the worlds of traditional finance and cryptocurrency by bringing together innovators from both fields for a one-off event.
trade.io also hosted a guerrilla coffee campaign to coincide with the Exchange launch date announcement, with the event taking place at Canary Wharf station, one of London’s busiest financial centres. The organisers served over 13,000 free coffees in trade.io branded cups from the station and from 20 independent coffee shops in the City of London. In addition, chocolate coins branded to resemble Trade Tokens (TIO), were distributed across venues in the capital. Both products contained registration information for trade.io’s airdrops campaign.
Finally, the crowds at Canary Wharf Station were entertained with a surprise flash mob of trade.io dancers dressed as astronauts, with the exhibition live-streamed on the company Facebook page.
trade.io’s CEO Jim Preissler had this to say about the launch:
“We are thrilled to announce the launch of our trade.io Exchange. The community has been eagerly waiting, so it gives me great pleasure to announce that we will finally launch on 17th July. It will be a staggered launch to 1,000 people initially, with future clients to be on-boarded in the days to follow.”
“Following the BETA version of our Exchange where select members tested the platform, we are confident that we will satisfy the specifications stipulated to us by our community, and look forward to sharing in the successes of our upcoming official Exchange.”
Trade.io has stated that commission-free trading will be offered to participants during the first month of the launch period, and, according to the developers, the first 1,000 people to sign up to the trade.io platform, will be contacted via email in run up to the launch.
