On April 26 and April 30, BitMart Exchange, a premier global digital asset trading platform, organized two separate lectures at Columbia University and The State University of New York at Stony Brook (SBU).
“In 2017, the concept of Security Token Offering (STO) was raised and the market was around USD 22 million in total. In 2018, after just one year, STO figures grew exponentially to USD 442 million,” said Daisy Li, Corporate Counsel of BitMart. She attended a lecture at Columbia University’s The Fu Foundation School of Engineering, regarding the latest trends and regulatory updates in the crypto market especially STO processes and corresponding AML/KYC controls.
In addition to Daisy’s effort in helping students better understand the industry from a compliance perspective, on Tuesday, Javen Lou, CMO of BitMart, also delivered a speech at Stony Brook University. A wide range of topics were involved in his speech including blockchain technology, infrastructure of the open finance, global trends, stablecoin, and other possible changes in the future.
“Both BitMart and SBU have fully realized the value of blockchain education,” said Javen Lou, CMO of BitMart. “We have jointly built a Blockchain Business Lab, aiming to help students get involved in the current research and projects.”
This is not BitMart’s first campus event. Ever since BitMart announced their strategic partnerships with SBU and George Mason University earlier this year, BitMart has been hosting lectures, seminars and career panels with Stevens Institute of Technology (SIT) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), sparing no efforts to integrate real-life business and foster talents.
“BitMart will consistently partner with global leading academic institutions,” said Sheldon Xia, Founder & CEO of BitMart. “Exchange is a place that gathers all traffic and therefore bares a lot of responsibilities. It is our mission to promote talent cultivation and more importantly, help students understand real-world needs.”
BitMart Exchange is a premier global digital asset trading platform in the cryptocurrency market with over 700,000 users worldwide and ranks among the top 5 crypto exchanges on CoinMarketCap. BitMart currently offers 211 trading pairs with one of the relatively low trading fees in the market.
